Who says you can’t have dinner for dessert??? These faux spaghetti cupcakes will make you feel like singing Bella Notte.
With the help of my incredibly talented sister-in-law, Lauren, we created an all-cupcake version of the Italian Dinner scene from the Disney classic Lady and the Tramp.
The spaghetti cupcakes are decorated with tinted icing piped from a pastry bag through a fine tip and then topped with Ferrero Rocher chocolates dipped in jelly to look like meatballs in marinara sauce.
For the corn, we lined up 3 cupcakes, placing a corn-on-the-cob holder on either end and then placed different shades of yellow jelly beans on top of the cupcakes to look like corn kernels. The pat of butter on top is a square yellow Laffy Taffy candy and the salt and pepper are actually white granulated sugar and black decorating sugar.
Once you’ve decorated your cupcakes, set your table with a red and white table cloth, candles, wine, and whatever else you may have to help set the mood. Then just pop in Lady and the Tramp on blu-ray and have yourself a bella note!
